Ford Fine Art Voted Best Exhibit

Many of the 26,000 visitors to the SPECTRUM venue voted Ford Fine Art as the best exhibit in the ArtSpot section.

Said Aldo Castillo, ArtSpot International Art Fair Director and Founder,

"I think that the success of both fairs ArtSpot and SPECTRUM Miami Art Fairs, is the fact that we the organizers decided to think outside of the box and concentrated only on offering what is fresh in the art world, as well as what was missing from the Art Basel Miami Week."

Ford Fine Art offered viewers a diverse selection of Modern masters of Latin American art. The museum quality painting, The Art Critic, by the Salvadoran master, Benjamin Cañas, (1933-1987) was the main attraction. The five-eyed critic seemingly watched over the viewers as they looked over him. The popular Diego Rivera watercolor of Mother & child sold to a Mexican collector. Works by Cañas, Roberto Matta, Jose Cuevas and Wifredo Lam went to new homes to be appreciated.

Eileen Mora came from Costa Rica to assist director/curator, Suzanne Snider with the 5 day event. They met with many collectors, museum directors, art consultants and art enthusiasts to talk about the masters and their works.

It was Ford Fine Art’s first art fair, and the successful start of a yearly marketing event in the Miami area.
